INVITATION to „EUROCOALASH” 2023 in Poland

The Polish CCP Union (Polska Unia UPS) and its partner European Coal Combustion Products Association (ECOBA) in cooperation with Warsaw University of Technology will organize the 2023 edition of the International Conference EUROCOALASH on May 22-24, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.

EUROCOALASH is an international conference for promoting the use of Coal Combustion Products (CCPs) in the construction industry within Europe and all over the world.

The conference aims to share the experiences of specialists, who come from business, industry, research, and government departments. To create synergies for the use of coal combustion products (CCPs) in the circular economy and the construction industry in Europe.

The conference’s theme will therefore be the principle of sustainability, which is increasingly included in the new construction product regulations and are part of the considerations (e.g. coal ash uses in all types of construction and engineering works).

The conference is dedicated to a wide variety of subject areas ranging from sourcing and logistics, recovery, and processing, to the use of various ashes in construction and innovative applications, providing a huge scope for technical exchange, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of ideas.

We would like to devote the outcome of the conference in particular to the issues of: Fresh production of CCPs, the Impacts of the E.U. on the construction industry (Green Deal and Circular Economy), Sustainability, and an overview of innovative developments in CCPs.

This event is the next edition of the biennial conference, moving between different countries and organized by the local institutions in the respective country, with partnership and advice from ECOBA. Therefore, the conference is of interest to producers and users of all by-products from the energy industry. At the same time, interest also applies to traders of these products and those who engage in any kind of transportation and logistics solutions related to the products of interest. The last few years have seen several challenges in the production and sourcing of CCPs. Coal combustion technology in electricity generation is changing, while coal-fired power stations are also being taken out of service in many countries. These changes will affect the materials and their supply, with growth in international trading of CCPs likely. There is also an increasing interest in recovering and processing material held in long-term deposits (e.g. stockpiles and landfills) as an alternative source. Developments with CCPs in existing and novel applications, which look to exploit the unique properties and environmental benefits they offer, are ongoing.

With the strong inclusion of the Polish representatives of The Polish CCP Union as an ECOBA member. This conference provides a platform for interaction between the various stakeholders and audiences in the economic transformation, matching the development momentum of the individual E.U. countries.

You can reach the city center by public transport:
There are two convenient ways to get from the airport to the Hotel Warszawa in the Prudential Building.
